We will take you through the steps necessary to create your own web pages. We will get you a domain name and
a host for your site, then construct your home page with a Cascading Style Sheet.
You will need some software. You will need a Web Page Editor and a Photo Editor. Many prople have their
favorites, but if you do not have one, there are free versions listed below.
Then you will need to sign up for a web host for your site and get a domain name. Our web hosting page is a great place
to sample several hosting deals. I like cPanel and Fantastico as part of the plan, but sites without those features
usually have their own unique method of managing domains.
Sign up for a Web Host
I use a blog to make announcements for this site. If you use a blog tracker like Bloglines or Google Reader,

The first thing you will need is a Web Page Editor. Here is a good one:
HTML_Kit
HTML-Kit will be used and our discussions will be based upon it's layout, but if you already have a Web Editor
feel free to use it. It will likely have an FTP feature that is set up just like HTML_Kit is set up.
A FTP program for uploading files to your server:
FileZilla
I upload most files through a feature built in to HTML-Kit, but this will come in handy too.
